About Cogvivo

Cogvivo is a free social platform for challenges, places and countries. It is made and run by Tim Wijnands, as a private individual, in the Netherlands. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the community rules. Contact: info@cogvivo.com.

Who can join

  • You are at least 13, or older if the law of your country requires it.
  • If you are younger than the age at which you may consent yourself in your country, a parent confirms your account.
  • You enter your real year of birth and have one account.
  • You keep your sign-in details to yourself. What happens with your account is your responsibility.

What you post

What you post stays yours. You give Cogvivo permission to store, show and distribute it within Cogvivo and on share cards, as long as it is online and as far as needed to provide the service. This permission is worldwide and free. You only post what you made yourself or may use, and only people who are fine with being in it. You can always delete a post.

Taking part safely

Challenges are meant to be fun and safe. You take part at your own risk and follow the law, the rules of a place and the traffic rules. Don't go where you're not allowed, don't put anyone in danger and don't do anything you don't feel safe doing. Star and badge values are a game; they are never an instruction to take risks.

What is not allowed

  • Anything the community rules forbid, such as dangerous challenges, bullying, hate, nudity and violence.
  • Pretending to be someone else, fake accounts, spam, or faking votes and leaderboards.
  • Hacking Cogvivo, scraping it automatically or getting around its security.
  • Content that is illegal or infringes the rights of others.

Moderation

Texts and images are checked automatically before they go online. Anyone can report content via info@cogvivo.com, even without an account. If we remove something or restrict an account, you get a message with the reason and the rule, and you can appeal. For repeated or serious violations we may block an account. We report suspected crimes against a child to the competent authorities.

Stars, badges and leaderboards

Stars, badges and leaderboard places have no monetary value and cannot be transferred. If something turns out not to be right (for example after a vote or a report), they may be withdrawn.

Ads and other people's videos

Cogvivo shows ads from Google AdSense; you can read more about this in the privacy policy. Videos from YouTube, TikTok and Facebook belong to their creators and fall under the terms of those platforms.

Availability and liability

Cogvivo is free and provided as it is. We do our best to make it work well, but cannot promise that it is always available or free of errors. We may change or stop features. We are not liable for damage from using Cogvivo or from what others post, except where the law says otherwise (for example in case of intent or gross negligence).

Leaving

You can have your account deleted at any time via info@cogvivo.com. We may end an account for a serious or repeated violation of these terms; you then get the reason and can appeal.

Changes and law

If these terms change on an important point, you will see it in the app before it takes effect. Dutch law applies to these terms. If you live in another country, you keep the protection the law of that country gives you as a consumer.
