Data sources

The photos and videos in the feed belong to the people who post them. Challenges, badges, figures and the design are Cogvivo's. Cogvivo also uses these open sources:
Places and monuments
Places, their names and their locations come from Wikidata (CC0, free to use). The list of world-famous icons is ranked by the number of Wikipedia articles per place.
Photos of places
As long as a place has no approved visitor photo yet, Cogvivo shows a photo from Wikimedia Commons. These photos are under a free licence (often CC BY or CC BY-SA). The author and the licence of each photo are on the file's page on Commons.
Map
Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL), map tiles from OpenFreeMap based on © OpenMapTiles. The map style is Cogvivo's.
Countries
Country borders come from Natural Earth (public domain). The flags on the country badges are made with flag-icons (MIT licence). A country badge says nothing about the political status of an area.
Videos from YouTube, TikTok and Facebook
These videos belong to their creators and play in the platform's official player, with the creator's name and a link to the original. Cogvivo finds YouTube videos through the YouTube API Services.
Travel advice
The travel advice link on a country page goes to the government of your own country. Cogvivo does not give travel advice itself.
